We collect the data we need to run payments safely and nothing we don't. We never sell your data or your customers' data. Korumiapay LLC is the controller of merchant account data, and processes your customers' payment data on your behalf. Here's the detail, in plain words.

2. What we collect

From you as a merchant: your name, business details, email, and the identity documents needed to verify your account. From your customers at checkout: their payment details, contact information and the basic device data needed to detect fraud.

• Account data — who you are and how to reach you.
• Transaction data — the payments, refunds and payouts on your account.
• Technical data — IP, device and browser signals used to spot fraud.

3. How we use it

We use personal data to process payments, prevent fraud, meet our legal and regulatory duties, provide support, and improve the product. We send service messages about your account, and only send marketing if you've opted in — which you can undo at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We share data with the card networks and banking partners that move the money, with identity and fraud-prevention providers, and with infrastructure providers that host the service under strict contracts. We disclose data to authorities only when the law genuinely requires it.

5. Where it's stored

Data for EU and UK merchants is stored in European regions (primaries in Paris and Frankfurt). Where data is transferred outside your region, we use approved safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses to keep it protected.

6. How long we keep it

We keep transaction and identity records for as long as financial and anti-money-laundering laws require — typically several years after your account closes. Other data we delete or anonymise when we no longer need it.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and object to certain processing. Email us and we'll help — we won't make you jump through hoops. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
